Who downloads from the Research Repository?


We do not know exactly who downloads items from the Research Repository and this is how we like it. In order to get detailed user information, the Research Repository would require all users to set up an account and log in – and this is a barrier to open access.

We may not know what institutions our users come from (or if they are students, academics, or members of the public) but we can still glean data from the download figures, visitor numbers, and countries of origin (the only piece of location data recorded by the Research Repository.)
